Sample post: Luna walked into the fume filled classroom, covering her nose against the smell. She was late and didn't know it. Her wand was tucked behind her ear and her radish earrings hung from his ears. She had the Quibbler tucked in between some of her books. She walked over to one of the many tables with cauldrons on them. She looked up at the board and read the potion for the day. She set her things down and began to remove the stuff she would need. Luna sat down and pulled some ingredients toward her. She picked up her knife and began to chop it up. When she finished she turned on the burner underneath the cauldron and hastily dumped her chopped ingredient in. Next came the part she hated. She pulled out another ingredient out, prepared it and, shaking slightly, she tipped it in. Luna flinched waiting for it to explode.

7th Year Student Application:

Name: Neville Longbottom
House: Gryffindor
Year: 7th
Strengths: folloeing the potion recipe line-by-line
Weaknesses: getting things wrong and having Snape yell at him
Sample post:

Neville walked into Potions class. He was late. Again. Snape was non to happy. He took 10 points from Gryffindor and instructed NEville to go to his seat. Neville sat in a chair by Hermione. "WE are going to work on Polyjuice potion today, the recipe is on the board..."
Neville glanced at the ingredients taht he would need and rushed to the cabinet to get them. Once he was back at this seat, Neville looked at the next line. He began to prepare the ingredients. Snape was moving toward his seat. Please don't stop here, please don't stop here, please... thought Neville, but Snape seemed to be able to read minds. He stopped right next to Neville. "I didn't think you would be in my class in year seven Mr. Longbottom, it seems you are better at potions than I thought.." said Snapes cold voice. Neville let out a sigh of relief. "Oh, who am I kidding, that was just a fluke Mr. Longbottom, you don't deserve to be here, somehow you got a pass but that doesn't mean that you deserve to be here."
Neville was infuriated. Of course he deserved to be there. He would show Snape that he deserved to be in his potions class. He finsihed mixing his potion and took it to the front of the class. "Well, you seem to have scratched by with this potion Longbottom," said Snape, "but I don't think you'll be able to keep up much longer."
Neville turned on his heel and walked out of the classroom. Of course he could keep up with the class. He was actually gonna try this year.

From now on, you must use spell check. You misspelled at least five words and a few other mistakes.
